Latino Americans are the citizens of the Latin American countries and dependencies. More than 20

nations are includes Latins. Decades before Latins start immigration to the United States. 53 million

Hispanics lives today in the U.S.The term "Hispanics " was created by the U.S. federal government in the

early 1970's to refer to Americans born in a Spanish speaking nation or with ancestry to Spanish territories.

Latinos have strong non-verbal and verbal ways of communication. To better understand one another

they overly rely the use of non-verbal communication. This includes facial expressions, hand and body

movements, physical touch, voice pitch, voice sounds, and physical appearances.  Latinos are unique group

inside the Unites States, because they were already here were not immigrants, and they have been immigrant

for a centuries.

Latinos played very good role in the War World War 2, when Japanese attacked on Pearl Harbor.

They were impressed by Martin Luther King, Jr. protest for the Civil Rights and they also protest for

Teenage Wasteland

The article "Teenage Wasteland" is unbelievable for me, because I never saw these kind of terrible

situations in my life. This story is  sad and scary to me, because the end of teenagers life is suicide.

Why do teenagers commit suicide? In response their emotional pain, suicidal thoughts and feeling due to

various brain chemistry deficiencies and / or disorders. Circumstances of extreme stress, emotional upset,

abuse, terrible living conditions, poor health, disability force them to commit suicide. Suicidal thoughts are an

involuntary affliction. We don't choose to think them. Suicidal thoughts just enter, they just come into your

mind on their own. They are very active and have tremendous emotional power.

Unfortunately, bad things happen to good people everyday, pain is a part of life. It never

seems fair, and it never seems right it just is. Painful events can cause overwhelming

feelings that could lead to depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol abuse, self-injury, or

thoughts of suicide if we don’t deal with our pain. Lots of people think about suicide at some

point in their lives (even if they don’t admit it), but most people do not act on this thought.

My point of view about the teenagers suicide it's a sick decision, because my believe

is if one way stop ten more ways will be open.  It’s important to remember that even when

we are going through something incredibly painful,  and thoughts of suicide can be

temporary, there are other ways of dealing with a crisis. We just have to search for those

ways, reach out, and empower ourselves  to stay alive, and make our life beautiful and

enjoyable again. And we have to make a goal for our future and try to do everything to

overcome any trouble and make our dreams come true....

About me

Hi my name is Lily G. I am from Armenia. I live in New York with my family. I am graduated from James Madison High School. I learned there almost two years. I love my school very much. There we had many teachers who taught us a lot of important things and whom I loved very much. In the school we learned many interesting subjects which are very useful for our development, for our achievements and for our future. I am so glad that I went to James Madison High School. Every minute I remember all good advices that my teachers gave them to me which I am going to follow all in my life.
I am friendly, honest, I like to work hard to achieve my goals, and I will be happy when I see the result of my work. I like to have many friends, and I am ready to help them if they are in trouble or need my help.
What makes up the person who am I? First of all I was born and raise in a family where my father and mother paid very big attention how I am growing up. They told me how to respect the people around me, they explained to me which is right and which is wrong. Until now they teach me not to do mistakes and how to become a great person.
The biggest influence in my life is my parents attention, they don't let me to do bad things. The same attention I see and I feel from my brothers. I have two brothers and they are older than me. They also follow me in my every step. I have many good friends and their influence is big in my life. And it is so important to have good friends surrounding you.
One of my goals in my life is to learn in this college with higher grades, then to transfer to City Tech. college. After that I wish to continue my education in the University and become a great dentist.
If I relate my life to the sociological imagination I see the difference and the same things between me and the Sociologist. They are not only interested what is around them, they interested what is invisible to them. This is the difference, because I am interested only what is around me. The Sociologist also interested in human nature, like what others think, and how they behave. This is the same as I think. Because I am also interested what others think and how they behave.
I have a big social event. I came to New York to live here. It has shaped my life and in turn shaped the way I saw the world. At first it was very difficult for me, because I didn't know the language I didn't have anyone to communicate. Everything was so strange for me. I met different people with different customs, and different characters. Then I began to learn everything step by step. If I see from the sociological imagination my life looks different. Now I know how to speak English, how to communicate with many people, and now I have many great friends. By living in New York I learned how to solve any problem, and how to overcome everything, because I want to see everything real in my life.
Until now nothing happened in history which can influence on my own biography. Now I live my quite life, and I can't say anything for the future....
